Our Beliefs

Our mission is simple: Enriching people’s lives with natural food options that promote health and happiness.

Leg Up Farmers Market is guided by these values:

  1. Eat Healthy
As a natural foods grocery store, we sell products that are made without artificially produced ingredients such as colors, flavors, and preservatives. We strive to support our customers wherever they are on their health journey. We believe that access to better food leads to better eating, which in turn leads to better health.
  2. Shop Local
Leg Up Farmers Market is committed to supporting our local producers and artisans. By supporting local, we support the families of those we work with and encourage economic growth within our own community. Leg Up Farmers Market defines local as products produced within 100 miles of our store.
  3. Support the Community
Leg Up Farmers Market is committed to giving back to the community. The biggest way we do this is through financial support to Leg Up Farm and Able-Services. We also work closely with other service organizations in the community to support their work and build a better world for all.
  4. Appreciate Our Team
Our Team Members are our most valuable asset and are crucial to both our success and being able to provide natural food options to the community. We support our Team Members by fostering an environment of respect, providing opportunities to grow and develop, offering a generous benefits program, and understanding the importance of family.
  5. Respect the Earth

Leg Up Farmers Market is committed to being a good steward to the earth. Business decisions are evaluated on both financial and environmental impact, and we source organic, local, and non-GMO products as much as possible. Leg Up Farmers Market also provides ways for our Team and our customers to make a positive impact as well through waste reduction and reuse, such as using paper bags instead of plastic, encouraging customers to bring reusable shopping bags and reusable bulk containers, and offering paper-free e-receipts.
